The first perfect score in GSSF competition at the CFS Gun Range was registerd Monday night (July 8).
If you suspect a law enforcement or military background of the shooter, your guess would be way off target.
The global medical director at a Fortune 500 company, Tom Fariss, MD, drilled an incision on the 10-point ring in the Unlimited Division, and shot 487 for second place in the Stock Division. The competition was the first of the quarter.
“I enter a lot of shooting competitions and I’ve lost many times to better shooters,” said Dr. Tom. “I’ve shot for many years but have competed for about three years. I do it just for fun.”
A Milton resident whose specialties are internal medicine and preventative medicine, Tom was also the top scorer in the Unlimited Division at CFS last quarter.
Dr. Tom previously perfected a match in the Stock Division at another range, and has eight times recorded 250, the perfect score in the Pocket Glock Division.
