And there are action points.
Thinking about something they’ve been asked to do that seems too hard, encouraged to write it down and pray Philippians 4:13: “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” They’re also encouraged to write an action plan with the first two or three steps to accomplish the task.
The Complete Illustrated Children’s Bible Devotional (Harvest House, 2018) is aimed at children ages 8 to 12 with colorfully illustrated stories from Holy Scripture accompanied by “reflection questions” and “action points.”
Everything form the sin of Adam and Eve to the Ascension of Jesus is provided at a level for a child’s understanding and a parent’s opportunity to discuss the issues of life with them.
Perhaps the perfect follow-up to Vacation Bible School, this illustrated devotional is yet another tool to teach children about God. It would also complement The Family Altar that was posted a few weeks ago.
The 20-second clip below shows just six of story illustrations as a sample of their exceptional quality.
